April 20, 2009 — Skewers Mediterranean the leading skewer franchise in southern California, on Monday revealed that it achieved a 210 percent return-on-investment with mobile coupon campaigns launched during the first quarter of 2009.

The Santa Clarita, California-eatry, saw an amazing 75 percent redemption rate on the coupons. The campaign was launched on January 3, 2009 and ended on April 5, 2009. almost 1,500 coupons that were generated, and which were sent via text messages using the TeleFly Mogul SMS mobile marketing platform.

Skewers only sent the mobile coupons to people who subscribed with signs inside its stores and print advertising displayed in local newspapers. Owner Raffi says the company set the stage for future campaigns but at the same time cultivated other eatries to jump on the band wagon.
